The Advanced Cleanse is recommended if you’re an experienced juicer or someone passionate about healthy eating. This vegetable-heavy cleanse is the least caloric. The Advanced provides a vacation for your overworked body as energy is directed away from digestion and toward areas that need healing.
Before You Cleanse
Making minor adjustments to your food intake two days before beginning your cleanse will give you the most benefits. Start by eliminating processed foods, refined starches, alcohol, nicotine, refined sugar and coffee.
So, what can you eat? Have your fill of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, plant-based proteins and low-fat dairy. Also, stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water. These initial changes will help you meet your goals for a healthier you!
PRO TIP: Start your morning with herbal tea and aim for at least eight glasses of water per day. Don’t be afraid to pick and choose what works for you. Everyone’s body is different!
During Your Cleanse
You are prepped and ready to do this thing! Keep your motivation for this physical and mental restart at the front of your mind as you kick this cleanse into gear.
- Enjoy your juices in order from #1-6, two hours apart if possible.
- Continue to drink at least eight glasses of water per day.
- Ease up on your physical activity if you have less energy than usual. A light jog, Pilates or practicing yoga are all good options.
- Rest. This time is about making you healthier in mind and body. If you need an excuse for a massage, this is it!
PRO TIP: If you start to feel overwhelmed, uncomfortable or hungry, supplement your cleanse routine with herbal teas and water with lemon. If this doesn’t cut it, consider adding another juice, drinking vegetable broth or eating raw fruits and/or veggies. Just remember your intentions with this cleanse and make healthy choices. You’ve totally got this!
After Your Cleanse
You did it! Congrats! Now you can slowly start to incorporate solids back into your routine. Aim for smaller portions and meals comprised of fruits, vegetables, soups, salads, whole grains and lean proteins. Keep on the healthier track you worked so hard to create!
PRO TIP: Keep your fridge, pantry and belly full of all the good stuff. Then there will be less temptation to add in what you worked so hard to cut out.
