One Goal. End Cancer.
One Goal. End Cancer.
Pelotonia is a grass roots organization founded in 2008 with one goal: End Cancer. Last year, the weekend of cycling brought more than 7 thousand riders to Central Ohio. The model of the 3-day event is simple: Pelotonia’s operating expenses are covered by generous funding partners so that 100% of every dollar raised by riders, virtual riders, and volunteers goes directly to fund cancer research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center—Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute.
Zest Juice Co. is proud to sponsor the fundraising event for the third year in a row!
While our bikers raise funds for the race, Zest Juice Co. introduced a brand new smoothie, The Ride. The Ride is a delicious smoothie packed with phytochemicals and rich in carotenoids, flavonoids and polyphenols. $1 of every The Ride Smoothie purchase will go directly to Pelotonia.
One of the things Zest loves about being a Columbus based company is the support Central Ohioans have for local businesses and organizations. Zest thrives on keeping our fundraising support local as well, to build a happier, healthier community.
Pelotonia '17 will be held August 4-6. If you’d like to learn more about the biking fundraiser check out: www.pelotonia.org.
Zest Juice Co. is a proud sponsor of Nationwide Children’s Hospital. This summer Zest will sponsor the Run for the Rainbow which supports pediatric cancer. The event takes place at New Albany's Market Square.
In October of 2015, 19,000 runners took over the streets of Columbus to benefit care and research at the Hospital. The race featured Patient Champions: amazing children who each represented a mile of the race and were there on race day to cheer on participants.
Mile 4 was named the “Zest Juice Co. Mile”, and our Patient Champion was Makaila Manley. Makaila’s story is an encouraging one. The 7-year old from Grove City, OH was born with spina bifida. SB is a type of defect, which creates a hole in some of the bones of the spine; this may result in mild to severe disabilities. There is no cure. Treatments include surgery, supportive therapies and the prevention and treatment associated with the problems.
We were honored to sponsor Makaila’s Mile and enjoyed getting to know her and her supportive family. We spent race morning decked out in Halloween costumes (her theme choice), with cowbells in tow, cheering on thousands of runners as they passed by our tent.
Zest Juice Co. is also proud to announce we helped Makaila raise more than $1,000 which went directly to the spina bifida program at the hospital.
The Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to the health and wellness of children in Central Ohio. The Foundation focuses its time, resources, and financial support to helping kids get healthy and stay active. The CBJ Foundation supports organizations around Columbus that are making a difference in the areas of pediatric cancer, reading, fitness through play, and the growth and development of amateur hockey.
Established in March 2000 by team founder John H. McConnell, the vision was to create a philanthropic arm of the NHL franchise to give the Blue Jackets players, coaches and staff a chance to give back to the community they represent.
Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded nearly $3 million dollars in monetary grants and donated more than $50,000 in autographed merchandise to local non-profits for fundraising efforts.
The Foundation is committed to securing partnerships with local organizations dedicated to raising public awareness and financial support for the health and wellness of the children in Central Ohio. These efforts have proven to have a measurable impact on children’s physical fitness, nutrition, education, and safety. In addition, the Foundation partners with the CBJ to bring attention to the ice and make hockey more affordable for local families.
Earlier this year, Zest Juice Co. was a proud sponsor of the CannonBall fundraiser event. Zest donated cold pressed juice for a specialty cocktail. The CannonBall is a community building event which helps benefit the Blue Jacket's Foundation's ongoing support of youth health and wellness in Central Ohio.
Did you know nearly 2 billion people lack access to sanitary drinking water? Every year nearly one million children die due to water related illnesses.
Thirst Relief International is committed to providing access to clean water for these deserving communities. The clean water methods vary depending on the location, community and amount of people who need access. The nonprofit organization operates with funds by generous donors to provide humanitarian and disaster relief to those in need.
Zest Juice Co. is passionate about the life-saving mission of Thirst Relief International, so we are donating $1 of EVERY ACTIVATED CHARCOAL LEMONADE you purchase directly to the organization. $10 gives a person clean water for 25 years!
Thank you for supporting the organizations we help. It’s pretty cool to think you could be helping give someone clean drinking water by just drinking one of our Activated Charcoal Lemonades. For more information about Thirst Relief International click here:
Pets Without Parents, is a local non-profit, no-kill, all-breed shelter for dogs and cats. Founded in 2001, their mission is to place every pet that enters the shelter into a loving, permanent home. They strives to motivate the Columbus community to support the shelter, through donation, volunteer, and adoption opportunities...until every pet goes to a forever home.
In the summer of 2016, Zest Juice Co. introduced a new juice to the menu, Rejuvenate, with the shelter in mind. Rejuvenate is hydrating, cleansing and the hint of mint gives it a refreshing aftertaste. For every purchase, $1 goes directly to Pet Without Parents.
Pets Without Parents strives to create a community that nurtures and respects companion animals and Zest Juice Co. is proud to be a small part of that effort.
